Butterfield Asset Management (BAM) is part of the Butterfield group, operating through subsidiary companies in Bermuda, Barbados, the Cayman Islands and London.

BAM provides a range of investment services that include discretionary management to the Captive Insurance sector, investment advisory services, self-directed accounts as well as a family of award winning in-house Mutual Funds. Our clients include a wide array of individuals, pension plans, trusts, charities and corporations. We have earned a solid reputation for disciplined investment strategies and consistently good performance.

Butterfield is Bermuda’s first bank. Established in 1758 as the merchant trading firm Nathaniel Butterfield, it was incorporated as The Bank of N. T. Butterfield & Son in 1858, providing banking services to local individuals and businesses, and facilitating the Island’s commercial links to the rest of the world. BAM employs over 80 staff in Bermuda, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and London, and is supported by more than 1,900 staff within the Butterfield Group.

The team is led by Curtis Dickinson, Executive Vice President, Wealth Management. Mr. Dickinson’s responsibilities include the overall management of the Bermuda-based Wealth Management Division, including Private Banking, Personal and Corporate Trust, Asset Management, and Investment Services. Additionally, Mr. Dickinson is responsible for the Group’s Asset Management Investment Strategy Division. Mr. Dickinson joined the Bank in 2006 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Management and was appointed Senior Vice President, Wealth Management in 2007. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Dickinson worked in the United States and the United Kingdom as an investment banker raising capital for companies in the media and telecommunications and consumer and retail industries with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities Corporation, Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation and Wachovia Securities. Mr. Dickinson received a Masters of Business Administration degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Morehouse College.

Butterfield is a founding member and sponsor of the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX). Butterfield’s primary listing is on the BSX, with secondary listings on the Cayman Stock Exchange (CSX).
